    Women in the Congo

No voiceWomen in the Cong
But you hear them

So weak
But you are strong

They haven’t any light
But you can bring
Them out of the dark

They are broken-they suffer
But you are the great healer

So many tears they shed
But Jesus, you’re there
Wiping their cheeks

Their faces are like stone
But with you,
They could be bright as diamonds!

They are lifeless-
But you can bring life!

They don’t know you Lord
Oh how I pray you’ll send
A messenger!

This poem was Inspired by the women living in the Congo today. There is a great persecution, one you or I could never fathom as Americans.
