    Glorious Beauty

These birds are wonderful Father,
thank you for making them!
It’s like we don’t need alarm clocks,
they are awake bright
and early to get us out of bed!
What a beautiful sound!
I bet they sing your praises!
They are each unique,
I am amazed of the work of Your hands.

I look now onto the grass and trees.
Thank you for making it so green Lord!
You must have known that brown all year long
would not please your people.
How thoughtful!

And the bonus of your flowers Lord!
My goodness, you’ve lavished on us!
Where do I begin with how breathtaking
and fragrant you made them?
Pinks, whites, violets, reds,
and all shades of yellow and orange.
All stitched uniquely just like your people!

I thank you for these simple, abundant
and sufficient pleasures.
It’s all I really need, Praise God!
