Grace, joy, and freedom are words people most often use to describe their experience of Good $ense - a proven biblical resource for changing hearts and lives in the area of finances. Through the Good $ense courses, you'll discover tools and develop skills to help you control your finances so your finances don't end up controlling you!
The Good $ense Ministry is designed to help you and your family implement biblical principles of stewardship into your financial life. Biblical principles of stewardship point us toward God’s principles of understanding that everything we have is a gift from God, and our time, talent, and treasure is to be used to God’s glory.
 Along with training in biblical financial principles, you’ll receive help and guidance to prioritize financial goals by developing a personalized spending plan, identify action steps to reduce expenses, reduce debt, and much more! It’s more than just a learning experience about budgets and finances; the course also enables you to reflect on your relationship to money and how it impacts your relationship to God. You’ll discover how to become a diligent earner, generous giver, wise saver, cautious debtor, and prudent consumer. Learn how to resist the pull of the culture and draw closer to the mind and heart of God and experience the joy of becoming financially faithful as well as financially free. The result is a God-honoring financial lifestyle characterized by grace, joy, and freedom.
Good $ense Budget Course (register) (download pre-work)
This course teaches biblical principles of stewardship, including practical advice about money, debt, savings, retirement, etc. The goal of the Good $ense Budget Course is for you to commit to and begin developing a biblically based spending plan. By the end of the course, you will have a spending plan in your hand, the knowledge in your head to implement it, and a commitment in your heart to follow through on it. Childcare is not provided. Pre-work materials will need to be completed prior to attending the course. Spending an hour or two completing the pre-work will ensure you get the most benefit from the course. These materials are confidential and you will not be asked to share them with others.
Course cost is $20/person and $25/couple (includes Good Sense Participant’s Guide, lunch and refreshments). Payment is due the day of the workshop.
Good $ense Debt Reduction Workshop (register) (download pre-work)
This workshop teaches biblical principles related to debt, provides the tools to develop a plan to get out of debt and the encouragement to do so. Pre-work materials will need to be completed prior to attending the workshop. Spending time completing the pre-work will ensure you get the most benefit from the workshop. These materials are confidential and you will not be asked to share them with others.
Workshop cost is $5/person and $7/couple. Payment is due the day of the course.
Good $ense Savings Workshop (register) (no pre-work required)
This workshop teaches basic savings and retirement strategies with product overviews, along with an opportunity to ask questions about basic investment strategies or products.
