FOCUS Upcoming Events SERVICE SATURDAY & Bonfire – Saturday, June 28, 9:00 a.m. at Woodland HIlls Church FOCUS Service Saturday & Bonfire Saturday June 28th   9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Service Saturday typically the last Saturday of the month the FOCUS crew gets together to make a difference in the community. Past projects have included organizing a food shelf, assisting with a blood drive and assisting individuals/families with moving. Many of our projects are kid friendly. Single parents are welcome to bring their kids if they are old enough to help, work alongside with parent and they can handle the work project. We always ask that you sign up in advance so we can determine the work load and team leaders. Sometimes we need trucks, trailers and experienced construction professionals but for the most part we just need you!   FOCUS Bonfire at Mark's Place (2662 Lisbon Ave. N, Lake Elmo, MN) Saturday June 28th....after Service Saturday till.... Potluck will begin at 6 pm We will have outdoor games (Volleyball, Softball & Basketball). What to Bring Lawn chair, blankets, bug spray Your favorite indoor or outdoor games Potluck Items (according to the first letter of your last name) — A-I bring Appetizers, Salads, or Side Items — J-R bring Main Dishes —S-Z bring Desserts Coffee, hot tea, lemonade, and water will be provided. If you’d like something else, feel free to bring your own beverages. We’ll also provide plates, cups, silverware, and ingredients for smores. R.S.V.P. by Thursday June 26th to focus@whchurch.org  R.S.V.P. appreciated, but not necessary. Please come even if you don’t R.S.V.P. (We ask you to R.S.V.P. so we can figure out how many people to plan for.)This is a kid friendly event. Bocce ball Badminton Horseshoe golf Lawn bowling Wagon rides for the kids We’ll have a big tent, in case you want to get out of the sun or in case it rains   Annual Canoe Trip – Saturday, July 12 at St Croix River Ahoy! The FOCUS crew wants to paddle with you! On the St. Croix river where the water is so blue. Bring your kids (age 10 and older) and don't forget to invite a friend. We have an amazing day planned on the river - no worries the Osceola bridge is just around the bend. For only $25 we will rent paddles, life jackets, canoes, picnic lunch and transportation from WHC. If the weather is a problem July 19th we'll try again to hit the sea. Our canoe adventures will be led by  "Captain Tim". You must sign up by July 5 for this event. Save the weekend of September 19th - 21st. The FOCUS crew is putting together a great weekend for you! We are returning to the beauriful shore of Big Sandy Lake and  we are blessed to have Twin Cities local recording artist Sara Renner join us again to lead worship. Check back to this website for more details about our annual retreat coming soon!
