Here is a small fraction of the thousands of comments we've received by email about the concepts of The Cross and the Sword and Myth of a Christian Nation. It's encouraging that most are very positive! If you'd like to share your own thoughts about how as Christians we can work to set new standards for the ways we serve the world, please contact us!

I am so heartened by the work your church is doing. I gave up on organized religion in the 1980's but have never let go of my faith. I wish you were around the corner from me.

Good morning, I just read an article in the NY Times "Disowning Conservative Politics Is Costly for Pastor", and wanted to say that I wish there were more pastors like Pastor Greg. I have left the church during the past 2 years because I got fed up with the political overtones.... Preaching politics is not our mission. We are supposed to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.... Pastor Greg, keep up the good work. We need more like you.

Praise God! I sit with tears in my eyes as I read and hear other Christian brothers and sisters speaking against the threat we are facing as Christians; the division among Christian people down "party lines", standing against each other while professing to stand up for Christian beliefs on either side of lines drawn. My heart aches. We are called to imitate Jesus Christ; see each other through the eyes of Christ, share God's love everyday with everyone, invite all people to become one with us in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to BE the ONE BODY of CHRIST here and now....

I recently read Greg's comments on "The Cross and the Sword" in NY Times and I want to say YES, YES, YES! You are so right.... Jesus refused to be made a king and said, "My kingdom is NOT of this world." Greg is right that Jesus wants us to win hearts through love, not push our morals onto others by legislation and force.

I read the AOL top news story... I have not felt a need for church and turned away from the thought of a congregation for... I can't remember how long. (Though I have walked with God in my heart and Jesus everyday.) ....I can honestly say my heart sang today and I only wish your church was here. Thank you for the song and I will check in on your website....

I read the article on AOL regarding Reverend Boyd and I say Hallelujah! How inspiring and refreshing. Your ideas ring true with what I believe Jesus would believe, preach and live in a daily testimonial of God's love. Good for you. Your church sounds refreshing, compassionate, loving and a true representation of the Christian faith.
