    In Emptiness We Are Filled

This hungry body needs to be fed

By the Bread of Life,

And to drink at the well;

The well that does not run dry.

This hungry body cries out

With hunger pangs we can’t control.

"Bread of Life sustain us,

For we are hungry for truth."

This mouth is dry,

Seeking to be quenched by renewal

By the water in the Living Well;

The well that does not run dry.

Blessed are those who are hungry,

For they shall be fed with the Bread.

Blessed are those who are thirsty,

For they shall be brought to the Well.

Seeking to be filled

We come to the altar of the Lord.

As we lay down our lives in humility, in repentance,

We are filled through the breaking of the Bread

And lit by the Living Water of Life.

Oh, how beautiful

Is our brokenness

In the sight of the One who came to bring wholeness.

He's the sustenance of life for this Body of Christ.
