The meadow was fragrant with the scent of the wildflowers. Butterflies visited each one for a sip of the sweet nectar. Some doves fluttered overhead from one tree to another. Crickets chirped, while rabbits nibbled at the foliage.

The girl moved through the meadow slowly, as if walking on water. The breeze was light, and the sun was bright and warm on her face and arms. She smelled some of the lovely flowers, lush with color. A contented smile passed across her lips, and she started to hum and skip about. She spun around, twirling her long, flowing dress, till dizziness overcame her mind and she let herself drop back into the soft, plush grasses beneath her.

As she lay on her back, she gazed up at the clouds, watching them float by. She saw figures and animals form and change shape as they slowly drifted along. It was like reading a story and turning the pages. The robins sang melodious tunes to entertain her, while chipmunks ran and nestled into the locks of her long hair.

She smiled and gave thanks to her Lord Jesus for this wonderful love letter he sent her today.
