The world is quiet, yet with distant soft sounds of birds, a lyre, and a harp's voice.

Surrender is such a beautiful concept. It is a complete and utter acceptance of God taking over one’s life. It is a complete release of control, the ultimate catharsis of all human bonds. I imagine myself drifting in a cerebral space, serene and quiet; euphoric. I imagine myself lying on a satin cloud with all my needs taken care of.

He has made his commitment of preparing my life for his world known to me. He has cleansed me and cleared my mind of all anxiety, selfishness, and worries. He has massaged every muscle in my body and wiped my slate clean. I reach out and touch the gentle hand of Jesus and he responds with an amazing rush of love.

I feel weightless, like I am floating without the bounds of gravity. I feel like God is there with me, teaching me and filling me with his knowledge, filling my mind with his word. He has revealed to me volumes of Holy Scripture in which to dwell.

He nodded at evil and it left. He smiled at the demons and they were cast to the depths of no where. He has taught me to look more closely at my fellow human beings. He has instructed me to love all of life with reckless abandon.

He has instilled in me a sense of grace and inscribed in me a notion of deep and pure love, like an endless ocean of his infinite peace. He has turned my face to him and asked me to focus not on myself, but others. He has affirmed a gift I have toyed with and showed me how to use it wisely. He has entrusted me to share this gift of love with all of life. He has asked me to be a soldier, indeed a warrior, in spreading his absolute love throughout his kingdom.

God has opened up his world and revealed it to me. He wants me to be a member of his great family and he has inscribed my name in his holy register in heaven. He has asked me to work with him for a better place in which all may dwell. The only thing I had to do was lay all of my sins at the foot of his throne and give them to him.
